The Diplomat Hotel

Gambar
As my promise in the previous article, I will tell about the tourist attractions that I visited in Baguio. This time the historical sights, one of my favorite places, the Diplomat hotel. You can see from the building, very old, this place was built since 1913 and completed in 1915. This place has a history during the Japanese occupation, which is a shelter for the people, then taken over by the Japanese army and used as a place of torture. But in 1973 this building was overhauled and turned into a hotel. In 1987 the hotel was out of operation, and the building was abandoned. Now this building is designated as a National Historical Site and is known by the name Dominican Hill and Retreat House. Hmm I really like historical tours like this. This building has a vintage aura, and coupled with the cold here makes it more aesthetic.             I visited this place with my friends, about 8 people. We boarded the jeepney from the dorm for about 15 minutes, then walked uphill about 1

My Day in Baguio, Philippines.

When you go to Baguio, you must see all around the city! Baguio is a tourist city in Benguet Province, Philippines. Baguio is about 6 hours from Clark Airport by car, and located in the mountains. The weather here is very cold, ranging from 12 o C to 10 o C so I never forget my jacket. Stayed here for 1 month makes me feel so strange at the beginning, because it was so different from Indonesia. The different weather, different language, and of course the different habit that I have to adapt everyday. I used to see people walked very fast here, yap, people here love walking I guess. It was not a lot of motorcycle passing by, they prefer use public transportation like Jeepney, or Taxi, and walking. Meanwhile the road here goes up and down since this city is in the mountains, stairs everywhere. Walking down this kind of road was one of my activities that I have to get used to. Believe me, it’s hard but you will enjoy it.             My dorm located behind my host university, I jus

Teaching Practice

Procedures of Teaching Before we start the class, we should greet the student to cheer them up or make them ready. Then, we give them a motivation. The motivation can be a video that related to the topic, or the direct question that related to the topic. For example, when I teached about Judiciary Branch I use the picture of the Supreme Court and ask the students question about Judiciary as my motivation to them. After the motivation, I start to explain the topic. Then, I divided the class to 5 groups and give them a problem to solved. After that we will discuss the problem and give the evaluation to each groups. All of the procedure of teaching should follow the Daily Lesson Log. Time Management and Organizing Activities In BCNHS we have one hour to each subject learning, also for the Philippines Constitutions subject. The teacher should manage the time so all of the learning procedures in DLL can be done. Therefore, The teacher always give the time for the students act

BCNHS Teaching Plan
